A beautiful pair of Victorian-style 9ct •375 rose gold amethyst and pearl drop earrings.
The earrings are hallmarked HW&S, 9.375, with the Birmingham Anchor and date letter “R”. Interestingly, the date letter appears closer to the 1866 mark than the 1966 equivalent; however, we have found no record of the maker’s mark “HW&S” being used in 1866. We therefore attribute these elegant earrings to 1966 — making them approximately 60 years old and still in wonderful condition.
