This stunning antique item of jewellery dates to the late 1800’s (Victorian) or early 1900’s Edwardian period and showcases 14 rich, violet amethysts paired with dainty seed pearls in an elegant fringe design. A true heirloom piece with timeless beauty.
💜 Amethyst, the birthstone for February, is known as a stone of protection, clarity, and calm. Its deep royal hue has long been associated with nobility and adorned regal jewellry throughout history—from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
✨ The necklace is in lovely antique condition and we have it professionally restrung for your peace of mind—no small feat with pearls this tiny! It is unworn since the restring (except for our mannequin)
🌟 The metal ends are not hallmarked (typical of the period due to the delicate design, which makes testing difficult) but tests as at the very least 9ct gold. The only one very similar we have seen online was said to be 15ct.
