An especially appealing feature is the original antique fitted presentation box. The unusual shape of the box internals strongly indicates that it is the original box supplied at the time of purchase. It was retailed by Skinner & Co, one of Britain’s most prestigious jewellers.
A beautiful Victorian pendant dating to circa 1890, expertly crafted in 15ct gold and beautifully decorated with vibrant turquoise stones and lustrous seed pearls. This elegant antique pendant perfectly captures the refined craftsmanship and timeless style of the late Victorian era.

As is typical for jewellery of this age, the pendant is unhallmarked. It has, however, been professionally XRF tested, confirming a gold purity of approximately 15.75ct. The slight variance is most likely due to the piece not being cleaned prior to testing. Please see the photographs of the test results. The pendant measures approximately 1.2 inches (3cm) in diameter, excluding the bale, and weighs approximately 5.08 grams.

Founded in 1881, Skinner & Co has remained in the same family for three generations and, during the latter years of Queen Victoria’s reign, were first appointed as jewellers to the Royal Family. Today, the company continues to trade as Bentley & Skinner, proudly holding a Royal Warrant as Jewellers to His Majesty The King.
Finding an antique pendant still accompanied by what is believed to be its original retailer’s box is increasingly uncommon, adding both historical interest and collectability to this exceptional piece.
Whether you’re a collector of Victorian jewellery, searching for a unique gift, or looking for a timeless statement piece to wear and treasure, this exquisite turquoise and seed pearl pendant is a wonderful example of late 19th-century craftsmanship and elegance.
