There is a small original loop at the base of the pendant. This suggests that it may once have carried a small suspended pearl or gemstone drop, which is no longer present. We have left the pendant exactly as found rather than making any modern alteration to this lovely antique piece.
Now approximately 110–125 years old it remains a charming and very wearable example of Edwardian jewellery, with the gentle signs of age one would expect from a genuine antique.
