A charming 9ct gold Victorian picture locket pendant, dating from the late 19th century, with a wonderfully personal and timeless appeal.
The locket has a delightful traditional design. It is not hallmarked but carries a 9ct stamp on the edge and has been tested as 9ct.
Wear it with the pretty floral inserts as pictured or if you are careful, the top section unscrews, allowing you to insert photographs or miniature portraits of your choice.

There are two separate rose images. One facing front and one facing back. Virtually identical.
They appear to be some kind of thin printed card/paper.
The locket dates to around the 1890 so is approximately 130 years old, and naturally it should be treated with the care appropriate to a piece of antique jewellery. The screw mechanism is working well and opens and closes as it should but please be gentle it is very old and gold screw threads need gentle use!
