This is a wonderful Carl Schon Inc. silver seahorse brooch, made in the USA in c. 1930. It features a tiny garnet for the eye, adding a charming touch of colour.
The pin and pin lock appear to function as they should.
Carl Schon worked actively as a jeweller in Baltimore from 1915 until his death in 1923, after which Carl Schon, Inc. continued manufacturing his famous designs.
The brooch is in excellent condition. It could do with a polish if you prefer a brighter finish, but as everyone has their own taste, we’ll send it exactly as it is so that you can decide the extent of polishing or to wear as it is.
