A charming Edwardian 9ct gold pendant dating from around 1900–1915, designed with delicate openwork detailing and rich purple glass stones.
The pendant has an elegant circular form centred by a quatrefoil-shaped motif, decorated with applied flower heads and small trefoil details around the outer edge. A faceted purple glass stone sits at the centre, while a second matching stone hangs freely beneath, giving the pendant a gentle sense of movement.
The reverse is stamped ‘9C’ and has been acid tested as 9ct gold.”
The stones have been tested with a Presidium Gem Tester II and show virtually no response, so they are described as glass rather than natural amethyst.
